IFRA: The International Fragrance Association
IFRA (International Fragrance Association), established in 1973, is the most authoritative international organization that sets safety standards for the fragrance industry worldwide. Headquartered in Geneva, IFRA scientifically evaluates the effects of perfume and fragrance ingredients on human health and the environment, creating binding safety regulations for the industry.
The Purpose of IFRA's Existence
IFRA's core mission is to maintain consumer safety at the highest level in the fragrance industry. This organization determines safe usage levels for perfume raw materials and publishes regularly updated standards. Every new scientific finding is reflected in IFRA standards, ensuring that the industry always operates in accordance with the most current safety data.
The regulations established by IFRA are mandatory for member companies and are implemented in more than 100 countries worldwide. This means that wherever you are in the world, you can be confident that a product manufactured according to IFRA standards is safe.
Scientific Oversight and RIFM Collaboration
IFRA conducts its scientific research in collaboration with RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials). RIFM is an independent research institution that examines the toxicological and dermatological effects of fragrance substances. Thanks to the joint work of these two institutions, each fragrance ingredient undergoes comprehensive testing and its safety profile is determined.
CAS Number: The ID Card of Chemical Safety
A CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) number is a unique identifier assigned to each chemical substance. Managed by the American Chemical Society, this system has registered more than 200 million chemical substances worldwide. Thanks to the CAS number, all scientific literature, safety data, and legal regulations of a substance can be easily tracked.
When a fragrance ingredient has a CAS number, it indicates that the substance is registered in international scientific databases and is traceable. This is an important safety indicator for consumers.
Our Commitment: IFRA-Approved, CAS-Registered Ingredients
All fragrance ingredients used in our products fully comply with IFRA standards, and each ingredient is registered with a CAS number. This guarantees that every product we offer you:
Has passed international safety tests
Is dermatologically safe
Has undergone environmental impact assessment
Provides full traceability
Complies with legal regulations
Our Transparency Principle
We respect our customers' right to know the contents of the products they use. Therefore, every ingredient we use in our products has IFRA compliance certification and a CAS number. Upon request, we can provide access to this information.
Offering safe, quality, and transparent products is not a choice for us, but a responsibility. Our commitment to IFRA standards and the CAS registration system is a concrete demonstration of this responsibility.
